The final general meeting of Paris 2018 was held on March 23, 2019. All resolutions were unanimously adopted. Here is the moral report, which concludes in the dissolution of the association whose object is indeed finished. A festive evening at the historic partner Who’s has completed this very beautiful adventure.

At 35, Cécile Lambert is going to participate in her third Gay Games. Involved since 2009 in the Frontrunners in Paris*, she is now co-captain of Team France for the Gay and Lesbian Sports Federation (FSGL), and referee for the Paris Triathlon 2018. For us, she comes back with enthusiasm about her participation in LGBT sports events where she has competed and talks about her expectations for Paris 2018.

In October, the League of Human Rights (LDH) and the European Association of Human Rights (AEDH) signed a landmark partnership agreement with Paris 2018. The mission of Paris in 2018 – Gay Games 10 is organize a Celebration of Diversity with sport and culture, promoting tolerance and without discrimination. Given that the guiding principles of LDH is to “constantly affirm the indivisibility, universality and effectiveness of rights for All”, cooperation between the organizations is a natural fit.

During Euro 2016, thanks to the City of Paris, Paris 2018 used several times the Paris Pavilion in the Fan Zone of the Eiffel Tower. It was a great opportunity for the volunteers to meet each other, and also for all to meet some of our ambassadors like Jean-Paul Cluzel and Gilles Rondy. And also to host Euro Pride House with the French Gay and Lesbian Sports Federation (FSGL) and the European Gay and Lesbian Sports Federation (EGLSF).

From 13 to 15 May 2016, the International Tournament of Paris took place in the heart of Paris, and was a very nice experience for the Paris 2018 team, who were present at their stand for the entire weekend at the Carreau du Temple (where the Gay Games 10 accreditation will take place).

In less than three weeks, over 700 people have registered for Gay Games 10. Participants are from all over the world. USA and France are the most represented countries, with running, swimming and bowling the most popular sports.
Paris 2018 has exceptionally decided to extend the Very Early Bird rate until 13 June 2016 for the first 1,000 first participants. Also, when figure skating, sailing, rowing, and tennis are opened, the first participants in these events will also benefit from the Very Early Bird rate.

Paris 2018 is proud to announce our new Honorary President, Isabelle Lamour, who will share this honor with the very distinguished Pierre Bergé.
Isabelle Lamour was elected by unanimous consent during the Paris 2018 General assembly on 12 March 2016. Madame Lamour is President of the French Federation of Fencing (FFE) and the only woman president of a national sport federation in France. President Lamour and the FFE have committed to organizing the fencing event during Gay Games 10. The FFE headquarters is also the site of the Paris 2018 offices, which President Lamour has graciously made available.

Francis Luyce, President of the French Federation of Swimming (FFN), has signed a partnership agreement with Paris 2018 on 11 February 2016. The FFN confirmed their support for Gay Games 10 and have committed to organize the Gay Games 10 aquatics trials in 5 disciplines: swimming, synchronized swimming, diving, water polo, and open water swim, with support from Paris Aquatique.
