The wrestling and grappling competitions was held at the Institute of Judo and organized by PARIS LUTTE with the support of the French Wrestling Federation (FFL).

PARIS LUTTE, NIJI-KAN KARATE-DO, MAKOTO JUDO-JU JITSU, and the PANAME BOXING CLUB were combining their resources and expertise to create a hub of combat sports in a prestigious and unique setting.

100 participants were registered for those Wrestling / Grappling competitions in several weight categories and age groups.

The program comprises:

  • Workshops concerning the techniques, the safety and the rules of wrestling and hand-to-hand combat.
  • Weigh-in
  • Men’s Freestyle Wrestling competition
  • Women’s Wrestling competition
  • Men’s Grappling competition
  • Women’s Grappling competition

This competition is open to everyone, regardless of ability.

  • 13h00: Home of the competitors
  • 14h00: Warm-ups
  • 14h30 to 16h00: Training fight
  • 16h30 to 17h30: Training referees
  • 18:00: Compulsory weighing and medical evaluation for all competitors

  • 9h00: Freestyle Wrestling Competition
  • 16h00: Finals
  • 17h00: Awards Ceremony

  • 9h00 to 13h00 : Friendy Match
  • 10h00 to 12h00 : Grappling Training
  • 14h00 :Free Grappling Men / Women Competition
  • 16h00: Finals
  • 17h00: Awards Ceremony

The wrestling and grappling tournaments are double elimination tournaments.

Match duration: 2 x 3 minutes with a 30 second break.

Match recovery time: 3 minutes + Golden Points.

Competitors will be explicitly separated by team or country affiliation in the first round. In subsequent rounds, wrestlers will be blind paired by the pairing committee using random draw numbers, subject to any explicit separation.

An athlete may compete in a minimum of 3 matches to a maximum of 5 matches per day.

Disputes: the rules of French Wrestling Federation is the reference.

Categories

 

If there are insufficient athletes to hold matches within an age/weight group, wrestlers will be encouraged to wrestle exhibition matches or, at their option and when it is determined it is safe, to change to another age/weight group. In no instance will age/weight groups be simply combined because of lack of numbers.

  • Open (35 and under),
  • Masters (36-49),
  • Veterans (50 +)

    Founded in 1999, Paris Lutte is a wrestling club .

    Paris Lutte’s vocation is to serve the inhabitants of Paris and the Region of Ile-de- France. Paris Lutte is affiliated with the Gay and Lesbian Sporting Federation (FSGL) and the French Federation for Combat.

    Paris Lutte is open to everyone without regard to gender, nationality, sexual orientation, or political/religious preferences, thus making it one of a kind. The association rejects all forms of discrimination, adheres to the principles of the Declaration of Jakarta, and is dedicated takes to contribute to the fulfillment of its members for their physical, intellectual and human development, as outlined in the Olympic Charter. Aligning sport to culture and education, Paris Lutte exercises social responsibility and respect for basic universal ethical principles. Besides sports, Paris Lutte contributes fully to the life of the local community. In 2016, Paris Lutte had 60 members of which 14 were female (approximately a fourth of its membership).

    Paris Lutte together with Niji-Kan Karaté-Do, Makoto Judo-Ju Jitsu, and Paname Boxing Club offer a rather complete program for all who wish to practice combat sports in a friendly spirit.

    Niji-Kan Karate Do, Makoto Judo Jujitsu, Paname Boxing Club and Paris Lutte are gathered in the Fighting Group of the French Gay and Lesbian Sports Federation (FSGL). They offer multiple chances to practice fighting sports and martial arts in a friendly atmosphere.
