The Bibliothèque Nationale de France (BNF, the National Library of France), in partnership with Paris 2018, from Tuesday, July 31 to Sunday, August 12, 2018 offers a program of 20 films entitled “Gay Games, the body at play“, touching upon the Games and issues of sexual minorities in cinema:
games and competition,
the AIDS years,
famous figures of resistance,
body image issues, etc.
This special selection of films will be presented on large screens in the reading rooms of the BNF, as well as in the Upper Garden. The space will be accessible all day, along with a presentation of LGBTQ+ French film festivals. These films allow viewers to experience, educate, and reflect upon the lives of athletes and LGBTQ+ individuals throughout France, but also in Australia, Poland, South Africa, Vietnam, Hungary, and Israel.
Access from the East entrance, opposite 25 rue Émile Durkheim (by the staircase) or Avenue de France (ground floor).

Tuesday to Sunday: 10am-8pm
Monday: closed
Entry: 3,90 €, free after 5pm.
