For this 10th edition of the Gay Games, the male and female Beach volleyball tournaments are organized by Contrepied.

The event will take place at the sports site of Louis Lumière in the 20th arrondissement of Paris. The site has existed for several years and has 5 courts. It is a Parisians’ favorite throughout the season.

Nearly 100 players are registered for this competition open to all. The key word is conviviality and fun. Therefore, whatever your level, everything will be done to make you spend an unforgettable moment.

Levels

Several tournaments are organized according to the level of the players:

  • 4 male tournaments for the following 4 levels:
    • A: Competitive
    • BB: Advanced
    • B: Average:
    • C  Recreational
  • Three women’s tournaments for the following 3 levels:
    • A: Competitive
    • B: Average:
    • C  Recreational

The organizing committee of PARIS 2018 reserves the right to combine certain categories if required.

    Founded in 1990, Contrepied is a Volley-ball club .

    Contrepied was founded as a non-profit association on 7 December 1990. It gathers lesbians, gays and their friends together to play volleyball in a friendly and open-minded environment. Contrepied is a recreational sports club, in solidarity withe the causes and struggles of LGBT people worldwide. Competition and excellence have also their place in this association as well.
