Born with the Gay Games in 1982, the LGBT sports movement has been developing adult sports for nearly 40 years. Offering a benevolent and open space to the difference, associations, federations and competitions, labeled LGBT, are a model of conviviality, respect and personal best.
Far from withdrawing into itself, this community movement, but non-communitarian, “hetero-friendly” strives to combat all discrimination and hatred of the difference be it LGBT phobias but also racism, sexism, discrimination of people with HIV/AIDS or disability.
