| Paris 2018 official travel in Europe |

On May 2, Manuel Picaud – Copresident of Paris 2018, was able to meet the Irish team and the openly-gay Irish Prime Minister, Leo Varadkar. The occasion was perfectly suited to offer Prime Minister Varadkar an official invitation to attend the Gay Games Opening Ceremony on August 4 at the Stade Jean Bouin.

May 14, Emy Ritt – Director of International Relations of Paris 2018, participated in the ILGA Portugal conference in Lisbon (the International Lesbian and Gay Association), as part of the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia. This was an excellent opportunity to present the Paris 2018 actions against discrimination. After the Paris 2018 presentation, the Portuguese Secretary of State for Sport, Mr. João Paulo Rebelo, announced his plans to attend the Opening Ceremony on August 4. Obrigada!
